Abstract:
Bildungsstandards werden nicht nur in der Allgemeinen Erziehungswissenschaft, sondern auch in der Sonderpädagogik diskutiert. Der Beitrag zeigt, dass sowohl bloße Opposition als auch ein Alleingang der Sonderpädagogik dazu führen kann, dass sich diese dem aktuellen erziehungswissenschaftlichen Diskurs entzieht und sich als 'besondere Pädagogik' selber ins Abseits stellt.

Educational Standards: Dilemma or Offside Position for Special Education?
Abstract:
Educational standards are an important issue within the scope of educational sciences as well as in the field of special education. This essay discusses two different positions of special education in German speaking countries: Sheer opposition against any standards or the claim for special standards for special education.
It is argued that both approaches could have a negative effect on special education: It withdraws from the current discourse in educational science and takes an offside position as a specific branch of education within the scope of educational sciences.
