Global Inclusion Benchmark - An Insight into Corporate Leadership on Disability
London: Eigenverlag, 2003, 16 Seiten: DIN-A4, Broschüre
This report provides an invaluable insight into corporate leadership on disability. It demonstrates that as disability moves up the corporate agenda, successful businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of disabled people as key employees, customers, shareholders and stakeholders.
Piloted in 2002, the Employers' Forum on Disability Global Inclusion Benchmark examines how companies communicate their commitment to disabled people when they describe their impact on employees, customers, suppliers and the wider community. Most companies which report on these impacts, do so through social reports.
The Benchmark identifies 10 key areas where companies should report on disability within their social reports, including: employment policies and procedures; customer relations; senior management commitment; engagement and partnership with disabled people; investment in the community and targets to improve performance. What the Benchmark cannot do is measure the actual performance of each company.
The Benchmark publicises best practice and profiles excellence, and has proven a useful tool for companies seeking to improve their reporting on disability.
